33 Years of Interdisciplinary and Cultural Studies @ SDSU
REMEMBER: It is a good idea to email professors in degree programs that have numerous prerequisites listed BEFORE THE SEMESTER STARTS to ensure that you can indeed take the course--better to be safe than sorry. In some special cases, lower-division courses can be taken for graduate credit--make an appointment with Graduate Director/Advisor Bill Nericcio before pursuing this pathway. (Do note that the SDSU Schedule is always in flux; some of the courses listed below may change their days and times--do let me know of any adjustments that need to be made.) ![]() Special Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 COVID-19 Update. MALAS does not really endorse online learning--truth be told, it's not the real deal as part of the magic of graduate school is the seminar, where graduate students work with professors to achieve a higher ideal of learning, of education. That said, the "S" in MALAS is for "Sciences" and we are living together through a new reality in the midst of a pandemic. So, for Summer 2020 and Fall 2020 (at least, pending a vaccine or miracle) MALAS will accept graduate level online classes for credit toward your MA. Are you visiting here from another graduate program at SDSU?! Remember, MALAS Seminars are open to all SDSU graduate students (and advanced senior undergraduates). |

![]() Note! MALAS 601 is the only true class required to be taken by all MALAS graduate students and is only offered once every two years--all new incoming MALAS graduate students are required to take this seminar as are all new students from Fall 2019 and Fall 2018 who have not taken it already! ![]() |
